IT'S ALL STRUCTURES
Once again i am impressed by the difference that clear structures make! Everything is or follows structures: bodies, technology, language, thinking patterns, interaction, not to mention work processes or knowledge repositories!
Enjoying another intense working time here in Fribourg with my long-time Swiss business partner i was again super impressed by the way he manages his staff and overwhelming amount of projects. Besides being just a strategy genius, his key secret seems clear: diligently prepare strategically consistent structures for others to build on them.
Structures is becoming a major red line in my life and thinking.
What structures are you living in? Any to be changed?
Thanks for interacting, Are! To your question: For matters related to the Kingdom structures need to be agreed upon by 2s or 3s in prayerful consensus. "Structures" in the sense that i use the word to have extremely powerful abilities. I understand that you associate the term as something anti-organic which i don't. There is probably nothing more complex in the universe than the God-given structures ENABLING AND (at the same time) LIMITING our life and our world. DNA is quite a structure!!! Fractals underlying organic patterns are. Any system of codes and interpretation (call it language) is. I tell you without structures the earth is less than "formless and void". Rather than decrying structures for the seducive effect they tend to have on us insecure humans, let's rather ask how we can flow freely and confidentially with God's "unorderly" structures and learn to build them (call it: co-create) together with Him! (and ps to Paul: "yep!")

You said structures "not humanly controlled" but although "agreed upon"? Agreed upon by whom?
Structures have very limited abilities.
Look at organic life´s ability to "automatically" utilize resources and produce fruit. I don´t think organic organisms have to agree upon their DNA - because it is given by their creator.
Not by structures, nor by institutions, but by his Spirit.
European christianity is all about structures - and empty churches.
I think "structures agreed upon" is simply not sophisticated enough.

yes, structures! but "alive and humanly uncontrolled" - just as you say :) every pattern is a structure. every repeated action forms its structure around it. every communication / interaction needs agreement on its structure. and any of those agreements passed on to others becomes an "institution". not good, not bad. just neutral and incredibly basic. thx for your reflection enabled by these neat ICT-structures :D

Structures? Well, God´s structures are not dependent of humans to control it. Like the cells in the nature, the laws of the structure is embedded in every cell.
It´s about the DNA. Our DNA is The holy spirit in us.
But if you want to build an institution, opposed to a body, yes, then you need a dead structure controlled by humans.

Sounds a bit like Paul... I laid an expert foundation, for others to build on, be careful then how you build upon it. there is no other foundation (and thus infrastructure flowing out of it) that can be laid but apostles, prophets and Christ Jesus the cornerstone...
if we could live one day like Jesus we could live everyday like Jesus... so teach us the structure of Jesus' days so we can follow him more closely and not depart from his presence (paraphrasing Moses, teach me your ways and help me to number my days. If your presence does not go then neither will I)...
Love to meet up and discuss the latest incarnation of the Kingdom DNA... even better to live it out by connecting one morning a week in prayer :)... I noticed your response was very quiet on that one :)...
With much love as always Simon

Good question about structure. I am totally sure that God wants us to have structure as He created the world with strucure too. Nature is the best example. As a freelance it isn't as easy as it it would be with a regullary work...
Anyway - I work better if I have structure in my daily life. So I created a plan for me, to structure my day and week (even with cleaning-things ;-) which doesn't always work). I can recommend it to do so. Things are becoming easier. And pray for my husband : he has a different opinion ;-D
P.S. the book of Kerstin Hack helped me a lot.
Blessings to you and Tine!!!
