also "against clergy"?

i have come to think and feel in rather negative terms about "paid clergy".

after all, there was a time where i pondered this way for myself and in the end very purposefully decided to skip also that "spiritual career", in order to earn our living with whatever HE would open up. Wolfgang's "house-church book" then dealt the final blow for the place that "full time paid ministry in dependence of those who pay you" would hold in my theological convictions.

lately though i have come across a surprisingly balanced and gracious understanding of the "clerical path" in the context of emerging church. have a look at what Dwight just posted on his blog and make up your own mind...
